Junior Videographer

Type: Full Time (35 hours)

Term: Permanent upon completion of 6 month trial

Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne (The Candidate needs to be based in the north east or in the process of moving to the North East. Please do not apply if you do not fit this criteria).

Salary: £23,000 P/A

23 days holiday per year plus bank holidays (guaranteed time off over xmas/new year)

Key Requirements:

  • Must be North East based or in the process of moving to the North East of England within the next 1 month.

  • Corporate video experience and able to provide examples.

About us
Kaleidoscope CFA is a film production company based in the North East and working across the UK. We work predominately with corporate clients, helping them deliver video content in the form of promotional films, product films, educational films, event videography and 2d animations. Our clients include the NHS, local councils and universities and private engineering businesses. In the last 12 months we have begun working on TV commercials and producing self-funded shorts and documentaries.

The role

We are looking for creative individual to fulfil our Junior Videographer role.

The person will be responsible for creating video content for our new and existing clients. This will involve filming and editing events, product films and promotional content while also assisting with our creative projects.

We’re looking for someone with creative problem-solving skills, an imagination and a huge passion for film. We place huge importance on our visual output and this role will play a pivotal part in helping us deliver our creative vision.

Although we are looking for a Junior role, the ideal candidate will have some relevant experience but, more importantly, an enthusiastic willingness to learn, develop and share new skills.

The initial period of employment will begin with a 6 month probationary period. If, at the end of the 6 month period, the employee's performance is considered to be of a satisfactory standard, in addition to the performance and sustainability of the business, the role will be made into a rotating 12 month contract.

Key Responsibilities
• Shoot, edit and produce engaging and inspiring video content
• Film educational presentations and demonstrations in person, on location and online
• Edit footage to client specifications
• Execute post-production design, including basic motion graphics
• Deliver on creative briefs to a high standard, on brand and on time

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Relevant degree, equivalent qualification or experience in video production
• Demonstrable video production skills including filming, knowledge of lighting techniques, audio recording, editing and post-production design
• Fluent in Adobe Premiere Pro or FCPX or Da Vinci
• Time management, organisational skills and ability to work under pressure
• Passionate, motivated and creative

  • Full UK driving License and access to a car.
