The Common Room is a hub of culture, history and education in the heart of Newcastle City Centre. Through interviews and spatial shots which show off the building’s impressive interiors, we told the stories of how this historical gem is impacting lives in the North East.

Through its supporting of Unipress and their apprenticeship scheme, the Common Room is fuelling career development and scientific discovery for young people.

Through opening its doors to visitors and providing platforms for lectures, weddings and other events, the space is inspiring the people of Newcastle.

Through caring for its extensive archive, the Common Room is preserving important local history for North East generations to come.
